Wallet Setup Guide

Complete guide to setting up your wallet for M2 Protocol presale

Step 1: Install MetaMask

Download MetaMask

MetaMask is the most popular Web3 wallet. Download it from the official website:

Security Warning: Only download MetaMask from metamask.io. Never download from any other website to avoid malware.

Step 2: Create or Import Wallet

Creating a New Wallet

  1. 1. Click "Create a new wallet"
  2. 2. Create a strong password
  3. 3. Write down your 12-word seed phrase
  4. 4. Store it safely (never share it!)
  5. 5. Confirm your seed phrase

Importing Existing Wallet

  1. 1. Click "Import an existing wallet"
  2. 2. Enter your 12-word seed phrase
  3. 3. Create a new password
  4. 4. Click "Import"

Critical Security Rules

  • • NEVER share your seed phrase with anyone
  • • NEVER enter your seed phrase on any website
  • • NEVER take a screenshot of your seed phrase
  • • Write it down on paper and store it safely
  • • M2 Protocol team will NEVER ask for your seed phrase

Step 3: Add Avalanche C-Chain Network

Network Details

Network Name: Avalanche C-Chain
RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
Chain ID: 43114
Currency Symbol: AVAX
Block Explorer: https://snowtrace.io

How to Add Network

  1. 1. Open MetaMask and click the network dropdown (top center)
  2. 2. Click "Add Network" or "Add Network Manually"
  3. 3. Enter the network details above
  4. 4. Click "Save"
  5. 5. Switch to Avalanche C-Chain network

You can also add Avalanche network automatically using ChainList:

Step 4: Get AVAX for Gas Fees

You need a small amount of AVAX (~$1-2 worth) to pay for transaction fees:

Where to Buy AVAX

  • • Binance
  • • Coinbase
  • • KuCoin
  • • Kraken
  • • Any major exchange

Tip: 0.1-0.5 AVAX is usually enough for multiple transactions.

Step 5: Get USDC on Avalanche

The presale accepts USDC on Avalanche C-Chain. You have two options:

Option 1: Buy on Exchange

  1. 1. Buy USDC on Binance, Coinbase, or any exchange
  2. 2. Withdraw to your wallet on Avalanche C-Chain
  3. 3. Make sure to select Avalanche network (not Ethereum!)

Option 2: Bridge from Another Chain

Use a bridge service to transfer USDC from other chains:

  • • Avalanche Bridge: bridge.avax.network
  • • Stargate: stargate.finance
  • • Synapse: synapseprotocol.com
